A Tiny Life

Something so delicate and tiny is a symbol of hope, rebirth and triumph over darkness – also represented in this piece by the broken plate. The metamorphosis from caterpillar enshrouded in the darkness and “death” in the coccoon to a beautifull and almost frivolous fluttering butterfly, is to me an eternal symbol of hope. We need to become quiet in moments of deep darkness and remember that a creature so tiny and delicate “reforms” itself- it regenerates into a new life and so can we.
