“The world breaks everyone,” said Ernest Hemingway. And so it does. But perhaps, inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, we can become “strong at the broken places” – and more beautiful in body and spirit than we were before we were broken. Perhaps, after all, there is a way back to the garden.
