Glimmer

I remember reading once that when it comes to mental health the term “glimmer” is used to refer to the opposite of a trigger. Glimmers are small positive moments that spark joy, peace, and safety such as a hug from a loved one, hearing your favourite song, taking a walk, seeing a sunrise, or random acts of kindness for example. This artwork depicts a garden and spending time in nature. A garden of irises is loosely painted in watercolour representing the fleeting joyful moment or “glimmer” felt as being in nature and having a sense of belonging – an Eden and safe space
