Homeward bound

As I sit on my veranda in quiet contemplation and look out onto the sea and the wide-open sky, I also watch the swallows diving and swooping after insects that I can’t see. They will very soon make their long expedition north and I wish them a safe journey. I too am readying to move on and wonder where I will make my future nest and where home will be.
