Blombos or Metalasia densa

This is a painting of a fynbos blombos or Metalasa densa. I tried to capture the depth in the green foliage by building up the translucent layers. The textured canvas allowed for more depth in the layering, with the grit shifting the focus on the patern of the stems of the rougher fynbos.
