This companion work takes its title from the closing words of Psalm 23, a declaration of trust in God’s enduring faithfulness: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” The embossed text emerges quietly from the surface, inviting a slower encounter and a moment of reflection.
The subtle relief of the words mirrors the way grace often reveals itself—not through spectacle, but through a steady and persistent presence woven into the fabric of everyday life. The monochromatic surface strips away distraction, allowing the promise itself to become the focus. Light moves across the raised lettering, revealing and concealing the words as the viewer shifts position, much like the ways we become aware of mercy in hindsight.
Created as a companion piece to The Three Graces, this work reflects on the assurance that grace is not a fleeting gift but a lifelong companion. Goodness and mercy accompany us through seasons of joy and sorrow, certainty and doubt, remaining faithful long after circumstances change.
For the Grace and Mercy exhibition, All the Days of My Life serves as both a declaration and a prayer—a quiet reminder that we journey through life surrounded by a love that pursues, sustains, and carries us all our days.
