Nadine Hansen is a visual artist based in Stilbaai. Working across multiple disciplines, she creates pieces at the intersection of the natural world and the human condition. She uses botanical forms not as subjects, but as a language.

Her work explores the fragile architecture of being human – the ways we endure, adapt, unravel and begin again.

Layers, impressions, and expressive mark-making become traces of lived experience. From representational works to layered surfaces, restrained palettes with marks and leaves, she also creates work that feels somewhere between intuition and observation. Nadine is constantly working toward abstraction.

Current work makes space for reflection. She hopes to create works that offer quiet company. Nature is not her inspiration alone – it is her collaborator, carrying stories that echo our own.

Nadine has had 2 solo exhibitions at Rust-en-Vrede Gallery in Durbanville.
