There are places we go to become quiet again.
Away from the noise, the expectations and the constant movement of life, there is a deeper stillness — a place where we can simply be.
For me, this painting is about allowing ourselves to rest in God’s presence. Not needing answers. Not needing to achieve anything. Just becoming still enough to be restored.
The sky reflected in the water became an important part of this work. Heaven is not only somewhere far above us. Sometimes we discover its reflection in the quietest places.
“He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.”
Psalm 23:2–3
