This painting makes me smile, and that is exactly what I wanted it to do!
I love the uninhibited way children react to things. Their surprise and excitement are so genuine, and their imaginations can turn the simplest things into wonderful adventures.
I painted the little boy in warm sepia oils, exaggerating his goggles and expression to capture that moment of absolute amazement. The origami fish add a playful twist, bringing something unexpected into an otherwise ordinary world.
There doesn’t have to be a deeper meaning. Sometimes I simply want my paintings to make people smile, feel a little lighter and remember the joy of being a child.
