“Winter is just a season”

“Winter is just a season” captures the fleeting instant between hesitation and release. The diver hovers above a landscape that is neither water nor earth, but a place where memory, nature and imagination intersect. Winter becomes a metaphor for life’s inevitable periods of uncertainty-times when growth is hidden rather than absent. The work suggests that renewal often begins with the courage to leap before we can see where we will land.
I used an empty milk carton to create the template for the swimmer and vegetation from the garden. Accents of white flowers were done with white ink.
