SEED

Wandering around the veld in summer, one comes across such interesting things if you look. I love to gather seedpods, once the seeds have dispersed and to capture them on paper. There are a multitude of different types of papers used in this collage including tea bags, printed pages, as well as the featured monoprint of ‘painted lady’ seedpods, one of my favourite plants to use for printing. I have used hand and machine stitching to add texture and interest.
