He Calls Me by Name
There is something deeply comforting about being known.
Not simply noticed, but known completely — our hopes, our fears, the things we carry quietly and even the parts of ourselves we struggle to understand.
In this painting, the woman seems to be responding to something beyond the visible. The open window, the water and the Blue Crane all became part of a quiet invitation — a moment of awakening, of listening, of being called.
For me, it speaks about the deeply personal nature of faith: the belief that God does not call us anonymously. He knows exactly who we are.
“I have called you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1
